Kellie loves to share yoga in a practical perspective, with honesty, curiosity and playfulness. Feeling vulnerable and open minded to growth, were some of the gifts she found in her personal practice, and how falling out of a pose and injuries teach so much.
She recognized that balance and vitality come through a regular practice, which inspired her to teach and help others. Kellie is an experienced yoga teacher, registered with Yoga Alliance.
She has been teaching regularly in since completing her certification in 2012, through YogaWorks in California. Her favorite style of yoga is Vinyasa flow, but enjoys bringing restorative moments to class and teaching beginners classes. Her intention is to guide each student toward exploring their practice through breath and movement, recognizing their own limitations and opportunities to grow.
Kellie hopes to always create a comfortable space for students to work with their bodies to experience more profound aspects of yoga. She helps bring poses alive through, alignment, subtle movement, and breathwork, with opportunities to modify or amplify as students develop sensitivity to their needs.
She believes that underneath the layers of the body and mind is a sacred energy that connects us to the essence of our true nature, which everyone should have the opportunity to experience. Kellie enjoys learning from various teachers, but is most inspired from her daily life with her husband and two boys. Some of her other favorite things- reading, working in the yard, connecting with friends, good wine and rare moments on her surfboard.
